I grew up in Oakdale, California, a small community in the Central Valley of the state. My parents were avid gardeners; my father grew the vegetables and my mother the flowers. It was from then that I learned to love flowers and appreciate the beautiful fresh vegetables that my brother and I were taught to grow. When I developed an interest in watercolor from the encouragement and support of my 8th grade art teacher, eventually painting flowers was natural for me. Then when I went to a meditation class in my early 20's and studied with the teacher who was a channel, doing inspired writing myself just happened without thinking much about it. I kept it to myself though, so publishing that writing has been a big step for me.

It seems like I have always written something, either in diaries or in journals. I started an inspired writing journal to keep track of the messages I received when I was 30.

It was my spirit guide that told me "we are going to write a book together." I listened and followed the guidance about it that I was given. I really didn't have a clue what the outcome was going to be. It turned out to be a spiritual awakening for me.

Becoming quiet and centered and connecting to my spiritual guidance. It takes me out of my small self and connects me to my Higher Self.

Their support and encouragement is so important. I like to know that my experiences have hit a cord within them. We are reflections of each other and all of us are connected. In this way we help each other grow and become better human beings.

I have a 3rd book already started. So far it is lots of my mandalas with short poetic descriptions of them. I have SO many mandalas and I want to share them.
