Who are your favorite authors?
My favorite authors are any author that captures my attention in such a way that I am unable to put the book down until I finish. That being said, I enjoy all sorts of genres and authors and if I had to give an answer to this question I would have to say that my favorite authors are:

- J.K. Rowling
- Stephen King
- Charles Dickens
- J.R. Tolkien
- C.S. Lewis
- Stephanie Meyer

I could go on but then I would be typing for days!
Describe your desk
My desk is wherever my desire to write takes me. I almost have some form of being able to record my ideas.....So that being said my desk is sometimes out in nature at the base of a tree, at a table in a restaurant, or at a balcony at a friends house....my desk is wherever I am.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
What motivated me is the fact that I can take my time and write a story the way it was meant to be written and by being able to do that I am not rushed to complete it by a deadline....I can instead take my time and let the story flow through me and let my fingers do the talking on my keyboard so that the stories come out the way they were meant to.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing just after I had my first knee surgery. I was laid up in the hospital and did not have anything to do and there was nothing on TV so I picked up a pen and a pad of paper and started doodling then an idea came to me and I started writing about a girl who had a disability and the story just took hold from there and took off.
What is your writing process?
It is sort of hard to describe my writing process. When I write I have to have noise to be able to write....I have the TV going or the radio on just to create some back ground noise that allows me to sort of leave the world away in such a way that everything is tuned out and I transfer myself into the process of writing a story!
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first story that I wrote was when I was about 15 and we had an assignment in our language arts class and I ended up writing a story about a young girl who was bullied because she had a disability.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I have had a rough childhood and I have been through a lot of what I would call "Life Experiences". I have to say that those experiences have shaped and influenced my writing in such a way that I write to escape sometimes. My experiences have influenced my writing to stories that others can read that would let them escape into someone else's life or point of view.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I spend my time with my family, playing games with my kids, walking trails around my neighborhood and my city. I also cook and bake and do a variety of crafts that allow me to think about different ideas that I could create stories with when I do start writing again!
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
What inspires me to get out of bed each day is my family and my love for life! Aside from that I get out of bed with a zillion ideas that are itching to get out of my head and eager to be put on to paper!
What do you read for pleasure?
I read different things to be honest. I do not stick to one particular genre. I sometimes read books on historical events, books on history, and even books on religion.....If I had to pick one genre that I read for pure pleasure are Sci-Fi and Fantasy books.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans are what keeps me writing. Even if it is only one person that likes to read my stories......I take great pleasure in that because for the tiniest moment I am able to help them forget the world that is around them from the beginning of the story until the end.
