Where did you get your love for writing?
My father Joe Kerestes, he has always had a love for literature and poetry.
When did you first start writing?
I first started writing in my early 20's. journal's, poetry, started some different books, but never published anything until now.
What's the story behind your latest book?
It's a Romance Novel set back in the late 1800's. It's about these two people who come together by accident but fall in love. The book tells how they came together at the Cabin by Sea, the adventures they have along the high sea, obstacles they face, and how their love grows.
What motivated you to become a writer
My family is what motivates me the most.
What are some of your favorite books?
Boris Pasternak's Doctor Zhivago, John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men, and Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights as just some of them.
What are you working on next?
I am going to write a crime novel with my fiance Jamal. We are in the very beginning stages of it.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Taking care of my family/
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
i am a stay at home mother, so I spend time with my daughter, I care of my house, which I am learning the art of Feng Shui. I also love to cook, grill, and bake for my family.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I look them up on Amazon.com
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Well I can remember when I was in the 7th grade when I read Of Mice and Men. It was the first time that I enjoyed reading. I lost track of time and was so engrossed in the book visualizing it in my mind. It was as if everything else around me faded away.
How do you approach cover design?
The cover for My book, Cabin By the Sea was my first book and first time self-publishing. The cover design was something that I ended up redoing a few times. I had this image in my head of the two main character's Eva and Lazar and finally came up with the cover I have now after searching.
