Houston, Texas. The humidity does things to you.

In high school.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
People have to eat.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Creating a waking dream.
What do your fans mean to you?
I love my fans! Oh, we all live in a yellow submarine!
What are you working on next?
Sci-fi epic for the ages.

Janet Lee Carey, Madeline L'Engle, Mary Balogh, Kathleen Duey, Louisa May Alcott, Laura Ingalls Wilder, and MT Anderson.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
What? I'm supposed to get out of bed?
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I walk, read, and read some more.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I search endlessly.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, I wrote a story called the Bat People about the mutant bats that inhabited the school office. Their only purpose was to suck the life out of students.
What is your writing process?
I noodle. I outline. I write a miserable draft. I rewrite that draft until it is not miserable anymore.
