What's the story behind your latest book?
My son went on a little boat trip and ran into a huge storm on the Gulf of Mexico.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I've found that what we are doing is exciting and on the cutting-edge of technology. We enjoy writing and illustrating in this style and hope to bring joy and happiness to others with our creativeness. Everything starts in the mind.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
We are just starting to publish these books. I think Smashwords will help us get our work noticed quickly.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I personally enjoy how writing is getting our family involved with each other and that we get to create these works together.
What do your fans mean to you?
I am pretty sure we have no fans yet :)
What are you working on next?
My kids are all working on their own projects to publish here with us. Using this tech opens the door to unskilled writers and illustrators to build what they have always thought about but couldn't write or draw alone.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I spend a lot of my time helping a local youth entrepreneurial incubator program and playing with my kids.

What is your writing process?
Outline an idea or memory. Create details. Use AI services to improve or expand. Use AI to create images. Build, examine and publish.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
This first book I ever read cover-to-cover in one sitting was "Misery" by Stephan King. I had never felt so "into" a story until that book. I was horrified, hahahaha.
