Interview with Adam Anderson

Published 2018-06-07.
What have you written?
Well, just a short longboard story. About a special wave - and a special man.
Why did you write it?
I guess I got inspired when I tried to become a surfer myself at Praía do Madeiro, a beautiful beach north of the little village Praía da Pipa, at the most northeastern coast of Brazil. Anyway, that's the spot I use for the scenery of this story.
Tried to become a surfer... what happened?
A hit! A bad hit to my eyes. I did't see the board return, wobbling as I was in the white water. The edge hit me right across the eyes. Afterwards I saw nothing but blood. But somehow my bad bleeding made me become friend with the local surfers. Afterwards, I admired them even more, admitting that it might be better to write, instead of trying to become a surfer myself.
