What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?

Event marketing has been most effective for me. When I speak at a book I usually sell out of books. Event marketing gives readers a chance to see and interact with me in person which makes them more likely to buy.

Describe your desk

My desk has about 6 notebooks on it. Most of them have some repeat content in it because I write things down more than once. There are a lot of pens, my laptop, my bible, and my latest book on it.

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?

I grew up in Ruston, Louisiana. This city influenced my writing because it was so boring so writing gave me something to do.
