What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy of writing for me is to be able to tell a story I would like to read. I really enjoy getting to know my characters and seeing their journey as the story progresses.
What are you working on next?
My daughter and I are deep into the third book of our Caulder series.
What do your fans mean to you?
Fans are the ultimate. Without fans writing could be quite lonely and nearly pointless.
Who are your favorite authors?
I have favorite authors from different genres. I like J K Rowling, Rick Riordon, and Lois Gladys Leppard for young adult fiction. I enjoy Robert Heinlein, Douglas Adams, Peter David and Robert Asprin for Sci-fi & Fantasy style books. I like J D Robb, Sue Grafton, and Lillian Jackson Braun for mysteries. There are many more authors. It is important that they have interesting characters and well-placed humor to become my favorites.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
To see what will happen next.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Playing with my dog Annabeth, spending time with my family (playing games, watchingTV, or just talking), reading, or doing crafts. I also have a full time job that demands much of my time.
