What is your writing process?
I have two-either plan ahead or "improvise." That is, I have the basic story structure in mind, but I develop it as I go along, but I know where it's going.
How do you approach cover design?
I use my own photographs and see what my designer does with them. I blend my "themes" into the pictures and images.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Flowers for Algernon-great book!
Lonesome Dove-elegantly written
The Stand-classic Stephen King
Medusa's Child-great action
The Dead Zone
What do you read for pleasure?
Fiction mostly-Stephen King, Larry McMurtry, John Grisham, etc. I also like history, true crime, and biographies.

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Dallas area, in an academic setting. I set some of my work in colleges. It prepared me for good thought.
When did you first start writing?
Early life-pre adulthood.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My most recent published one is one that deals with fantasies I felt like I had to get off my chest. One I'm working on deals with "trauma dramas."
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Wanting to get noticed as a writer. It's on my bucket list.

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
satisfaction of letting people know who i am and giving people the joy of something to read
What do your fans mean to you?
more than they will ever know. in other words, a great deal!
What are you working on next?
a story about a lady who appeared on american idol, and someone is trying to shoot her down, and story about a man who was present at the OKC bombing, 9/11, and the boston marathon bombing.

stephen king, larry mcmurtry, john grisham, iris johansen, kay hooper, agatha christie
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
work!
