The start of a new journey for the author with a new set of characters that right away feel unique in their own way. Easy to follow for those not familiar with the author's work while also being able to hit the right tunes for the old ones. Looking forward to the next entry. So many options going forward.

Second entry of the young series, a page turner that will wrap you from start to finish. Clear escalation of hostilities that shows character and story progression. It starts as hot as it ends. Looking forward to what seems to be the conclusion of what could be considered the introduction of the series.
  • No Holding Back on Dec. 06, 2023

The author always delivers with every piece released, and this time it is no exception. This books finishes act 1 of what is promising to be another hot saga of the likes of Desperate Beauty. I would recommend reading the first two entries in order to fully enjoy this issue, but you could easily pick this one up and enjoy it as well. A page turner, and a story that leaves you hoping for a quick release of the next chapter.

Can't say I was a fan of this one. The set up was decent enough. I just wasn't a fan of how the fight went down as a whole. A bit too short of a read too. I always support trying new things, sometimes it pays off, and sometimes it doesn't. I know the author will bounce back. Remember that this review is highly influence by my personal taste, don't take it as a sign that the book is bad by any means.

This one had a rather hard task to live up to what was the first book. I can say it did live up to it, and was able to move the saga forward across multiple fronts. I only had a minor issue with a particular moment during the last fight of the story. All in all, a book that you should enjoy if you are into the themes that are promoted by this book and the previous one.
