Roni Wing Lambrecht

Biography

I am happily married to John Lambrecht, the most wonderful man in the universe, for too many reasons to list here♥♥♥. We had a beautiful son, Dalton, for 15 amazing years. He left for Heaven just after Christmas 2013. He taught us something new every day he was here on Earth, and we believe he’s doing the same for everyone in Heaven now. Dalton lived his short life with the intent to create smiles, laughter, and happiness by sharing his kind spirit and helping others through tough times, and John and I continue that legacy by paying it forward each day to those who inspire us or need a hand up. If you’ve ever heard the song, “Chain of Love,” by Clay Walker, you will understand what I mean.

Like you, my life is fast-paced and there never seems to be enough time to do all the things I want to do, but I’m always counting my blessings that I have the ability to do what I can. Friends have called me a "serial entrepreneur," as I'm always creating better ways to be organized, so life can run more smoothly and effectively. I am also a REALTOR® and have been in the mortgage, closing, and real estate business since 1995. John and I are avid ATVers and spend time camping in our 5th wheel as much as time allows. Additionally, I have written a few books, with hopes to continue writing and editing as time allows.

My first book, Parenting At Your Best, is a memoir of the time we had with our son, things we did well, and things we learned from, with hopes of helping other parents and kids across the world communicate better. The second book, A Parent's Guide for Journaling to Their Child, shares simple strategies for writing heartfelt love letters to your kids, and the third book really isn't a book at all, but rather a journal with the tips from the second book in the front on perforated pages so that the tip pages may be removed before the parent shares the journal with their child. That one is called: A Parent's Journal to Their Child. The first two can be purchased on Amazon and the Journal itself can be purchased from www.DaltonsJournal.com. All three books were written with the intent of helping parents love and cherish their children every day, with hopes that through increasing their quality of communication, the love between them grows deeper and more meaningful.

Smashwords Interview

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Since I was a young girl, writing has always been my escape by either writing short stories or poetry, as it allows me to escape reality for a short while and focus on the task at hand; writing something worth sharing.
What are you working on next?
I have tons of ideas that I continually make notes on, but nothing is set in stone yet.

Due to our circumstances, losing our only child, and our openness about our grief journey, I have become someone that folks call when they find out someone they know has lost a child. I do my best to reach out and help wherever I can and I have been told several times that I should write a book based on our experiences of knowing what helps and what does not, as well as what to expect at certain times in the journey. So, my next book may be on the grief journey.

Another project could be a guide to help couples learn to share their love in writing with each other.

I guess it just all depends on what feels right at the time.
