Smashwords Interview

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Taking the reader on exciting adventures, with interesting, yet flawed characters at their side.
Who are your favorite authors?
I have read fantasy novels since I was 12. My father had a veritable treasure trove of books in our living room, from Michael Moorcock's "Elric" saga to Eric Van Lustbader's "Sunset Warrior", Ursula K. LeGuin's "Earthsea" to Bram Stoker's "Dracula". My biggest revelation was reading "The Dark Elf Trilogy" by R.A. Salvatore though. These books kindled my fascination with all things Dark Elven.

I greatly enjoy Terry Pratchett's work. "Good Omens" by him and Neil Gaiman is my single most-read book and I can come up with a situational quote any time.

And last but not least, I deeply adore H.P. Lovecraft. No one but him can craft a morbid, dark atmosphere with just a few well-placed words.
