David Metheny

Biography

David Metheny is LGBT writer from Chicago, IL and after 11 years working in the retail field took the leap to writing fiction full time. He began his career in 2013 with his first book, "Seduction of the King: The Back Road to Wonderland" now available at all retailers and e-book distributors. He current lives in Chicago with his husband and is working on the second part to his Wonderland series.

What are you working on next?
Currently I am in the process of writing Book Three to The Back Road to Wonderland. It will be a follow up to the first two books. I am also working on researching and writing the first book on the pre-history of Wonderland. I am really excited to go back to the beginning and present how Wonderland was forged. I discovered that when creating the back story for my version of Wonderland, there really wasn't a solid background on its origins and thought it would be a challenge to take the fairy-tale we all know and really dissect it, just as Maguire gave us the Wicked books.
Who are your favorite authors?
I would have to say the authors that really inspire me, not only for their writing ability but their approach to writing would be Anne Rice, J.K. Rowling and I devour Jackie Collins.
