Biography

Growing up in a small ghost town in Nevada known as Tonopah with a population at the time of 1500 people. It didn't offer much in the form of entertainment. Not even a movie theater. So in a sea of sagebrush my imagination really took off and I dreamed of writing some day. I lived there when I was five and ended up spending 16 years total.
I then moved to Elko Nevada and all the while I wrote and created characters in my head but never took it down the path of doing it seriously. Even one of the characters in my first novella I published June of this year (2015). I created when I was about ten years old they just needed to go through the refining process. Even though Elko and the surrounding area was bigger and around 30,000. It still proved to not offer enough for me personally.
I met and made friends with a local musician and I then journeyed all the way to Wyoming and there we agreed to start a heavy metal band, I as the bassist. Later the friendship ended and I met new a new friend. That lead to a focus of rock and we traveled around the western united states trying out best to make our dream a reality.
Like many other people, our dream didn't manifest into reality. Even through the music I always dreamed of writing. About creating amazing characters and worlds people enjoyed. To create fantasy and science fiction lore of amazing depth but was easy to absorb and didn't require a college degree to understand.
I moved back to Elko. Soon after I got hurt in an accident at a job that took away many employment options forever. I looked to self-publishing as my way to try my hand at writing. So I built my words and fantasy series Age of Alighted.
If you can call it fantasy, as there are science fiction elements that describe the origin magic and other aspects in fantasy. I also wanted to get away from, the ugly guys in the black armor are the bad guys. The good looking humans in the gold and silver armor are the agents of justice. One of the heroes in my world in an undead Lich. A skeleton with massive black armor, yet he is an agent of good. Characters and stories like that interested me. So after I was finally happy with everything I had created, it was time to write.
If I can get one person to buy my book and it somehow makes their day better? Make just one fan? Allow someone to escape to my world to get their mind off problems? One personal relates to one of my characters? Even if that happens with just one person I will consider my writing career a massive success.
