This story doesn't begin as you might expect. You are disoriented, perhaps even confused, by what is going on. Stick with it, though. You will be rewarded with intrigue and intense action. As an author, Rose Caraway can be such a tease. She will build up your arousal, only to divert your energy elsewhere as you get lost in the story. And just as you settle into the story, she cranks up the action and your blood pressure. In Hypnotized, Eve is taken on a confusing whirlwind adventure that may seem to be against her true nature. The story leads the reader along much in the same way, keeping us puzzled as we move along the path to clarity. The story is quite re-readable. The erotic moments are compelling and graphic without lingering along with distracting adjectives. She calls her shots, she drives the passion home, she doesn't play with metaphors to build imagery. Instead, this author succeeds in making the action real. Sex lasts this long. Sex is this hot. Sex is messy and wet and takes some effort. And this author calls it like it is and should be. If your interest alternates between sensual thrillers and wall-to-wall porn, you might find the best of both worlds in this novella.

It is easy to get lost in the story, which is a very good thing. Mild tension, nice heat, fun fantasy. The characters are well crafted and likeable. The sex is just the right mix that interests but leaves much to your mind's eye to fill in the blanks. I'll be watching out for more from Rebecca's Gibson!
