This is quite a long book, however the writing was such that I found I quickly engaged with the characters, who were realistic and believable. The story itself bowls along really well with lots of twists and turns, and I liked the plentiful sub chapters making it easy to take a break from reading. Got to say that the final chapter of the book was quite simply a piece of brilliance, and completely unexpected. My only downside, being from the UK (and this probably relates to most American authors) was there were a few words that were obviously common in the US but meaningless to me; I had to stop and look up to ascertain their meaning.
