This is such a cool book! Love these Sylph characters. The concept of the Sylphs and their world is REALLY unique and unexpected. This is not like anything else I've ever read and I fell in love with the characters and their world. These vignettes and the "Battle Sylph" books are a must read if you've been looking for a truly fresh and engaging new fantasy read!

Love this author's other work so when I found out about this little novel I grabbed it. Don't want to say too much so as not to give anything away, but true to L.J. McDonald's style, I am totally intrigued with the characters and want to know so much more. This is a tantalizing and suspenseful little world we are dropped into and you will finish this great little read definitely wanting more! There is a personal note from the author at the end that I found particularly touching about soldiers.
