Biography

Tito Martínez Barberi is an award-winning author from México City, where he spent many years doing copywriting and translation work. His experience as a copywriter and translator, added to what Tito himself calls his “hyper-imagination”, inspired him to write the award-winning series The Keeper of the Balance.

The Order of the Ancestors, book three in The Keeper of the Balance series, was chosen as the Best Dystopian Book in the 2016 Summer Indie Awards.

Tito currently lives in Puebla, México, but his mind spends most of its time in Akaladia, writing the next books in The Keeper of the Balance series.

How do you approach cover design?
I try to use elements that will capture the story. It can be characters, places or objects that play a key role in the story, and that will hopefully pique the readers interest.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
It's hard to choose just five books. I guess my favorites (right now) are the 5 current books in George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. I love the series because of its depth, complexity and compelling characters.
