A Parent's Guide to the Common Immune System Issues in Autism Spectrum Disorder on May 02, 2016

This book is a MUST read! Thank you for writing this life-changing book for families with children on the autism spectrum. Dr. Sharma understands that Autism Spectrum Disorders are the result (in most part) of an immune system not functioning properly. This book explains that the causes and medical conditions that cause autism symptoms are different for every child. In this comprehensive guide, Dr. Sharma shares her extensive knowledge about how the immune system functions with the rest of us in terms we can all understand. Dr. Sharma lists the medical tests and how to interpret the results to determine the subset of autism a child has developed. Then she steers the parent toward the type of physician who can best treat their child’s kind of autism. This book also explains that medical treatment alone is not enough. Once the immune system functions better, children must then be taught what they couldn’t learn before. That’s when the rehab programs like Son-rise, ABA, RDI, Floortime and all the rest are most effective in catching a child up on all they missed.
