"It's boring. And anyway, my drawing's much better than that awful photo. I've made you look like one of us, a Red Sock Ninja."
Well, it does stand out.
"And you're way more interesting than the rubbish you wrote. You cook, make great bread, and your house gets crashed by waves sometimes. That's cool."
No, it's scary getting seaweed splattered on the windows.
"You're rubbish at drawing though. Kids want to see what I look like. I could do better than you."
No he can't, as you can see by his portrait of me. Besides, he's supposed to be a Secret Ninja and not have everyone recognise him.
In case you're wondering, I met Jamie when I was working as a support assistant in schools. Lots of Jamies who loved stories but...
