Smashwords Interview

When did you first start writing?
My initial memory of writing for the pure joy of reading the written words was in the 6th grade. Short stories about the children and adults that helped formulate my childhood. How I felt when I first learned about hatred. How each person's view could be changed based on the number of people who saw it one way or another. How the truth behind a condition rarely mattered when the objective had a higher meaning. But my most fond memory is when I rushed home from a school field trip to watch the movie "On Golden Pond" and began to write what the director had so powerfully portrayed on the big screen.....just for me.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The best way to describe the focus of my book is to call it a vision into the retail corporate life. I spent most of my adult life in executive positions with some of the largest and best run retail corporations and found that the facts behind decision making mimic that of our diplomatic society. And as strange as that may sound, I have always assumed that "business decisions" were ALWAYS based on the consumer's best interest with an ideological foundation on profits. My book illustrates that the "human" factor plays a far more emotional role in the decisions.
