Tracey Madeley

Born in St Asaph to two Welsh parents, Tracey had a fairly normal childhood despite her disability. After only obtaining the minimum O levels required to carry on with her education she completed her A levels and went to Essex university to study Law, graduating in 1990. After a couple of temporary jobs she obtained a permanent position in the Civil Service and began her second degree in Literature with the OU. After getting married at the Chinese Pavilion in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco in 2004 she studied for and completed, her Masters in the 18th Century Novel in 2007, again with the OU.
With her husband's encouragement, to write a hippie novel with a 'happy ending' she began Peaceful Meadows in 2008 and despite several revisions and numerous rejections from agents, she self-published with Amazon in 2012.
