Biography
Troy A. Jarvis, born in the year 1961, born again in the fall of 1985. Biblical worldview training 2003 to present 2012.
Served as Prayer and Program chairman for 10 annual prayer events promoting prayer for leaders on the state, local and national level. (1994-2003). Co-creator of the http://www.prayforleaders.org website (1998).
My father and grandfather have been inspirational for me. They both were small businessmen (Plumbing, Heating, AC, Dry Cleaning, and Coffee Services) and served the public as councilman and mayor (Father) and County Commissioner (Grandfather).
Started reading the Holy Scriptures at a young age. Inculcated by their truth and transformed through the years with the much appreciated assistance of some very wise and profound instruction. Facilitated by men who may someday be considered the "John Witherspoons" of our day.
( Note: John Witherspoon served as President of Princeton University and was also a signatory of the "Declaration of Independence". Was quoted as saying, such things as:)
("If your case is just, if your principles are pure, and if your conduct is prudent, you need not fear the multitude of opposing hosts.")
And
("It is in the man of piety and inward principle that we may...find the uncorrupted patriot, the useful citizen, and the invincible soldier. God grant that in America true religion and civil liberty may be inseparable.")
After years of praying for good and Godly leaders to be raised up to leadership positions on the state, local and national level. As I looked around and formed an assessment of the situation before us, I started asking the question, Where Are the Godly Leaders?
This work is hopefully a motivation to get our best people going on this crisis. The compilation of essays assembled here are designed to help in the promotion of Godly leadership training. Go, Go Godly leaders!
