I read this book even though this is not a standard genre for me, and I am very glad that I did. Long before I reached the end I knew that it was a book I would be thinking about for a long time. One of the best parts was the character development. Very few of the political thrillers which I have read in the past do such a good job. Even the minor characters are memorable. Years have passed since the author wrote this book, so I hope he has another project in progress. Once he publishes another, I would certainly buy it. Until then, I have enjoyed reading Marre's nonfiction, some of which is available elsewhere online. Highly recommend.
