After earning a degree in Creative Writing at Florida State University, Brigette embarked on a nomadic decade living in some of America's most exciting cities. She lives with her daughters in Miami, where she teaches literature and writing.

This piece of flash fiction has the rhythm of a folk tale and the satirical bite of a 21st Century cautionary tale. It also evoked one of my all-time favorite Star Trek episodes (the original series, of course). I would encourage the troll who goes by "I M Vayne" to curb his/her insults toward writers and stick to reading the Christian fiction that is obviously his/her comfort zone. Or quit hiding behind a pseudonym, coward.
