I was given a copy of this book to review by the author. I don’t think Tomahawks and Zombies isn’t your normal zombie book. If you’re looking for a lot of gore and fighting this isn’t the book for you. Don’t get me wrong you’ll get some in this book, but that’s not what the story is about. This is the story of a group of survivors told through one of their journals, with stories from the others in his group as well as people he meets along the way. I found this story fascinating as a way to show what it’s like surviving day to day in the post apocalyptic world. The story is fun and the characters are very likable. Overall it was very well written and would make a great addition to anyone’s zombie library. (originally posted on goodreads.com)
  • The Northern Star: Civil War on Dec. 03, 2014

The second book in the Northern Star series goes deeper into the cyber world than the first book delivering a unique look into a potential future. The author does a great job of mixing action and plot development. The plot is out there at times (hey it is sci-fi) and not for the faint of heart at others, but leaves the reader wondering what’s coming next. The only downside I have to say is that the story ends on a bit of a cliff-hanger and I felt as if I was left wanting more. Just a brief warning about the series. If you’re thinking about jumping right into it with this book, I would suggest you read the first book (The Northern Star: The Beginning) first as it’s helpful in giving you the background to set the stage for this book.
  • The Northern Star: The End on April 20, 2015

Well written and descriptive, “The Northern Star: The End” is a great finale to this series. The author does a great job of with his narrative filling in all the details to make you feel as if you’re along for the ride, while also doing a good job of moving the plot along. If you enjoyed the other books in the series I think you’ll enjoy this one as well as I found it to be the best of the bunch!
