Elizabeth Reynolds

Hi! I'm Elizabeth Reynolds, author of the best-selling book, The Non-Jew's Guide to Jewish Ceremonies. I wrote that book for all the people out there who are like my friends and stay away from Jewish events out of fear of doing the wrong thing. My friends didn't pay a condolence call after a death in my family because they didn't know how to act during the shiva (the period when mourners receive visitors at home). It's really not hard once you know what to do. So I took it upon myself to tell you.

I've been married to a non-Jew for 18 years, so I've had abundant experience in explaining Jewish customs to my husband's family. I hope you will find my book enriching and enjoyable.
