  • Temperance's Trial - Part 1 of the Virtues and Valor Series on March 30, 2015

This book was amazing. It was a fictionalized story about the actions of a real person. It is well written and riveting. My only regret about this book is that it ended way too soon. I am anxiously looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I highly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed. I was given this book in exchange for my honest review.
  • Homeland's Hope - Part 2 of the Virtues and Valor Series on April 05, 2015

The second book in the series. This book focuses on the character, Hope. It is told about her contributions to the war and her trials in contributing. It includes others from the other stories. It gives a little more information about Temperance, whom we met in the first book. Once again, my only complaint about this book is it ended too soon. Well written historical fiction based on real persons. I recommend this book. I was given this book in exchange for my honest review.
  • Charity's Code - Part 3 of the Virtues and Valor Series on May 06, 2015
    (no rating)
Book 3 in the series is just as good as the first two. There is a slight overlapping of the story, as it's a story told from the view and actions of six different ladies. This one is about Charity, the code breaker. The story keeps you involved and waiting to see what happens next. These books are based on real people that helped in WWII. This is well written and very worth reading. These books can stand alone, but are much more interesting when you read the whole series. This book was given to me in exchange for my honest review.
  • A Parcel for Prudence - Part 4 of the Virtues and Valor Series on May 06, 2015

This is book 4 in the series. Just like the other books, you learn of the details of the overall story through the eyes of Prudence, this time. Prudence is from a wealthy family and must learn to live a totally different life. You will meet others that you've already read about in this book, but the story is totally from the view of Prudence, the courier. You will not be disappointed. It is well written and keeps your interest through out. This could be a stand alone book, but it is much better if you read the series. This book was given to me in exchange for my honest review.
  • Grace's Ground War - Part 5 of the Virtues and Valor Series on May 06, 2015

This is the 5th book in the series. It is about a young woman trained to fight. She is more deep than the others as she is half Jewish and half French. Both Jewish and Christian in her beliefs. Once again, you see the whole picture through the eyes of one main character, this time it is Grace. She has her own issues to deal with as she is fighting the war and trying to save her Jewish people along with all the others against the German empire. You will not be disappointed in this book. It is well written and keeps your interest from beginning to end. This can be a stand alone book, but is more interesting if you read the whole series. I was given this book in exchange for my honest review.
  • Mission of Mercy - Part 6 of the Virtues and Valor Series on May 12, 2015

Once again, these books are very well written and worth the reading. This tells the story from Mercy's point of view. Mercy is a doctor who is posing as a nurse. The one thing I did not like about this book was that it ended with a cliff hanger. I had to immediately start the last of the series. I highly recommend these book. These are the first edition and do need a little more proof reading, but it's not bad. I just notice this type of thing as it's a pet peeve of mine, I guess. But, like I said, it IS the first edition and it is totally worth the read, no matter. I was given this book in exchange for my honest review.
  • Flight of Faith, Part 7 of the Virtues and Valor Series on May 12, 2015

This is the last book in the series. It was a wonderful series and I'm sorry to see it end. It does have a great ending and brings all the books together nicely. This story focuses on Faith, the pilot. Each of the books also has a short biography on the woman that inspired the book. Though the whole series is not true, it IS based lightly on real people. I recommend this series highly. Remember, it is the first edition and there is slight imperfections in the editing, but not bad at all. This book was given to me in exchange for my honest review.
  • A Secret Sacrifice (Amish Secrets - Book 5) on July 14, 2020

First, I was given this book to read but a review was not required. This review is my own, freely given, and my own opinion. What I liked about the book was it was an original plot. Many Amish books follow a similar storyline, but this one is unique. The main characters were adequately developed. What I did not like is that the story ended way too quickly. Not as in length, but the story was rushed and unbelievable. I also did not like the use of wrong words. Sometimes it was the misuse of the word I when me was needed and other times it was just a completely wrong word, a word that did not make sense. I would give it a 2.5 rating but only full stars are allowed and I do not feel it is up to a 3 star rating though it could be if these things were fixed.
