Princess of Caldris is the start to an epic adventure set across one of the most thought out and imagined galaxies I've had the pleasure to read. Winteroud and his insight intrigue right from the first few pages. His internal thoughts and perspective drive the story forward at a pace second to none. I thoroughly enjoyed the action entwined with the beautiful descriptions and Winteroud’s apt sense of humour. The artwork displayed throughout the book might only be visible in certain e-formats, the detail here to characters, landscapes and Dante’s vision of his world added a very different perspective to reading a novel. Not only could I visualise my version, but I had the experience of actually seeing it brought to life. This makes this book and subsequently the rest of the series, even more promising. It is professionally put together on a level that most authors could only dream of. A wonderful start to an extraordinary tale, leaving many questions and a desire to read on.
