I was thrilled to learn that my good friend, Tim Povhe, had published The Golden Witch of Mahone Bay here on Smashwords. The author and I have shared a passion for the Oak Island mystery for many years. In this entertaining novel he has woven actual historical data together with a fictional tale centered upon lead character Eleanor Merryweather, an immortal witch. Her story nicely dovetails with the actual history of the island, which is located just off the shore of Nova Scotia. It all makes for an entertaining read - and even contained a couple of surprises for me! But be warned.... This book lays the groundwork for a series written by Tim and you may be bitten by the Oak Island bug, for which there is no known cure! Thanks, Tim. Can't wait for the next publication in the series!
