Kristina Brooke Daniele

Biography

Kristina Brooke Daniele (pronounced Dan-YELL-ee) is a homeschooling mom, education consultant, former classroom teacher, freelance writer, and serial entrepreneur. As an English teacher at Harry S Truman High School in The Bronx, New York, Kristina worked to increase the literacy skills of high schoolers who were often ignored by the system. Rather than rote memorization, Kristina engaged them in discussions of the real world and worlds within literature, preferring to aim for a holistic approach rather than just on their test scores. Her experience in the classroom informed her decision to homeschool her child. Both motivate her to continue to produce material that centers Black people within American History rather than as a footnote.

Kristina resides in Arizona with her husband and teen child. When she is not working her dream job, her nose is in a book, or she is enjoying time with her family and close friends.

Smashwords Interview

When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
As of late, you can find me playing Two Point Hospital on Steam and sharing videos of game play on YouTube. Sometimes, I lose hours drawing or reading and listening to music. I'm a homebody!
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Usually the titles come from friends, authors I enjoy, or articles in The New Yorker. I read various genres but at night I rely on Romance titles to relax me.

We are all looking for something- for love, acceptance, peace, understanding, for truth, and escape. "i wandered, lost," a collection of poetry," aptly conveys the rush of emotions accompanying growth. These poems are for those who struggle to see beauty in the darkness; who have learned to stand tall under the weight of self-doubt.
