Biography

Leigh Anne Lindsey enjoys writing futuristic thrillers, suspense, sci-fi, fantasy, flash fiction and memoir. Leigh Anne has numerous flash fiction stories published in Zines and began writing short stories and poems at the age of 8. Her interest in these genres began at an early age because her mother was a voracious reader of them and shared that love with her five children.

For those clients, she developed strategic alliances, sales and raised investment funds that ranged into the millions. Her goal is to develop and coordinate writers' retreats along the way to becoming a successful novelist. The only thing holding her back or getting in the way is the chronic pain & fatigue from a permanent neurological dystrophy (RSD)that was brought about by a simple knee surgery in the fall of 2002.

In the works are a futuristic thriller “Deadly Deeds” (with opening chapters published online at Scribd, RedRoom & Smashwords), “Living Rumes of Loden” a sci-fi novella and several flash fiction pieces for approaching anthologies. Leigh Anne’s blog “The Science Behind the Science Fiction (LeighAnneLindsey.blogspot.com) focuses on the scientific research behind her futuristic writing and coming soon will be insight from authors in those fields.

While on the air as a rock DJ in Aspen CO for KSPN-FM, she wrote & produced radio commercials. She got a liberal arts degree in photo-journalism from Colorado Mtn. College and the College of San Mateo and was a columnist and photo editor for the Colorado college paper. At the College of San Mateo, she operated the non-profit classical music radio station.

She’s modeled on the runway and in print, was a rock-jock on an Aspen radio station and has been an actor on the stage.
