Slaughter House Press was founded in 2014 with the mission of finding and publishing books by independent authors who have an unique and unapologetic take on the world in which we live. Our plays have been called subversive, edgy, and even dangerous, we look to the future of developing relationships with writers who have unconventional and unrelenting approaches to their work. Our first novel Simple Machines is a powerful and shocking look into the world a combat soldier in the current Global War onTerror. It is the story of an elite Special Operations soldier who struggles to find his humanity a midst the ongoing combat. The fitting setting of Afghanistan sets the stage for a dirty and jagged look into the mind of a man who knows only war but thirsts for something more. Release for Simple Machines is set for the 25th of August.
