Noel Farrell

Biography

Noel Farrell lives in the picturesque town to Trim, Co Meath in Ireland. Large parts of the Oscar winning film, Braveheart were filmed at the site of the town's World famous Norman Castle.

Following the collapse of the Irish economy, Noel took up writing full time and has being practicing his art for over 18 months now, resulting in the completion of his debut novel, Booker's World, which will be released in January 2011.

Noel also wrote a short novella, Sonny Strange, Motivational Memoir in Minor. That will be available for download soon here on Smashwords.
Noel's writing is heavily influenced by the times Ireland finds itself in at present. His characters are from the working classes, his themes testament of the times.

Noel uses his characters to portray an Ireland not often seen. Noel always tries to retain qualities in his writing which has served the Irish race well throughout its bitter history, the gift of laughter.

Noel will merge both Don Booker & Sonny Strange together in 2011, with a proposed web-series picking up where both books leave off.

Noel is currently working on various screenplays and will begin work on his second novel in 2011.
Noel blogs regularly at www.fbooker.blogspot.com and provides an outlet for new writers to promote themselves and their work. He also blogs on Ireland, writing and the absurd.

With unemployment stats in Ireland in a catastrophic state, Noel hopes the opportunities self publishing offers will allow him to write more and cut a career part not reliant on playing the game of economics.
