Podgi Carter

Biography

It started in the eighth grade. My English teacher Mrs. Ammon had an assignment for the class to keep a journal. As a 12 or 13 year old kid you didn’t think or write with a filter, so this story I was telling her was raw and uncut. She gave me an A+ on my journal. She called me to her desk after class when everyone had left the room. With one tear in her eye she said you are a natural writer. I’ve always been into music as well. When I got to college I decided to major in Communications and minor studies in photography. I acquired my license at Edinboro University with the F.C.C to go on the air as a DJ. That’s the direction I thought my career was headed but when I left school I started using my video skills to record weddings which morphed into a 17 year photography career and journalist. Not until 2017 did I actually see my path to publishing manifest. My novel The R.I.C.O Verdict is the first novel in a series of courtroom drama books that will be published starting in June of 2021. Now I can see what you saw in me in the eighth grade. Mrs. Ammon we are here.
