Smashwords Interview

When did you first start writing?
I dabbled in writing in college. Back then, I was just jotting down ideas--not really writing anything. Which is probably not the worst thing, because I imagine very few of my ideas from that time period were all that original.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
The realization that becoming a traditionally published author is the equivalent of winning the lottery. That, and seeing books in bookstores "written" by the cast of "Jersey Shore".
