Charles Spurgeon

Biography

Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892) was an English Particular Baptist preacher. Served for 30 years at the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London. It is estimated that during his lifetime he preached to millions of people and he became known as the "Prince of Preachers." Spurgeon remains highly influential among Christians of various denominations, He was a strong figure in the Reformed Baptist tradition. Spurgeon was a great author of many types of works. in fact his work completes around 60 volumes; and more than a century after his death, his sermons are still read by many Christians.
