Patronus, meaning guardian in Latin, is a race of protectors that guard the secret of the races that roam this earth with the humans who know nothing of their counterparts. The Patronus are charged with keeping the existence a secret, settling disputes among the races and hunting down and serving justice to any who cross the lines. The six ruling Patronus, the Beyers Brothers, rule with an iron fist and sharp fangs. Having the traits of those they hunt they posses fangs of the vampires, can shift like the shifters and use magic like a fairy. Even amongst their kind they are different. Unable to mate with just anyone they must wait their lives for the one woman not only made for them but marked for them. She will come bearing a birthmark of a star with the initial of her true mate in the center. Only after the first mate is found do they find out there is so much more to that little mark than they had ever dreamed of!
