There is a misconception that every living organism has to die and disintegrate one day or other. Adam & Eve from the mythologies of Jews, Christians & Islam were immortal and became mortal only on eating the forbidden fruit. Christians pray 'thy kingdom come'. According to Hindu mythology immortality is possible if you drink 'amrith', the holy nectar extracted by churning the milky ocean. The gods and goddesses were mortals like human before drinking the 'amrith'. Even in this 21st century millions of Hindus assemble at the four sites where 'amrith' was spilled over and take bath in the holy river to become healthy and immortal (kumba mela).
