Lives of Annie, Nicole and Alex at Turn of 20th Century

When a Boston society woman marries a two-faced scoundrel who threatens her life, she and her family must escape to Halifax, Nova Scotia and must make a new life for themselves. Accustomed to upper class society, they must survive although completely cut off from family in Boston. They face the First World War, the 1917 Halifax Explosion and the rigors of life in reduced circumstances.
