Twelve-year-old Martina mourns the loss of the grandfatherly previous owner of her family’s ice cream shop. He left her an intricate music box that leads her and friends Heath and London through the ice cream machine and into Sheardland, where magical races escape the threats humans pose to their civilizations. To help finish the enchanted carousel before the Rhihalven festival, Martina, Heath, and London must harvest wood from a special tree, but a wrong turn in the forest leaves them lost and dependent on the sage Amara for guidance.
