Ok, so first I gotta give my shout out thanks to the author and books4tomorrow for giving me a copy to read for reviews. At first, because of the quite tragic, and violent beginning, I was a little worried about liking it. The character backgrounds and setting are well described and this whole book is very well worded and explained. It's about witches and the horrible mad men who hunt them, literally for pleasure!

I can honestly say, now that I'm done, I loved this book, even if I cringed, and cried, and screamed at it! If you are weak stomached or cannot handle brutal torture, ya may wanna be ware, but this book is a perfect tale for abused women, who learn how to fight back and stand up for themselves! And they are witches :)

Janey, the main character has literally every bad thing happen to her but she learns to fight for what's right, no matter if it cost her life, and to risk her life to save others! She learns to never give up, even though she really wants to, and in the process gains some great friends, and terrible enemies, and even learns that she's beautiful with all her scars, both inside and out. She also helps save a whole community in this process!

I love Kitna ( you gotta read to find out who these names are) and Jill and Shane! You can't help but love the good guys in this book, and totally hate and loathe the bad guys! You start cheering for the innocent and want to stab the evil bastards who take away that innocence!

As for the magical part of the book, you start learning how awesome it is to have powers and how they work. You want everyone in real life to learn how to do these cool things!

I believe this is going to be a series that will continue ( I think) and I cannot wait for the next book to see where it can go! So get yourself a copy a check it out!!!
