I live in Michigan with my husband and our two sons. My family is very supportive of my writing. When I’m writing, they often bring me the take-out menu so that I can call and order them dinner. They listen patiently when I talk about my characters like they’re real. They rarely roll their eyes when I tell them I’ll only be a second while I finish writing a chapter…and then they take off their coats. They ask me how the story is going when I surface after living for hours in a world of my own making. They have learned to accept my “writing uniform” consisting of a slightly unflattering pink fleece jacket, t-shirt, and black yoga pants. And they smile at my nerdy bookishness whenever I try to explain urban fantasy to them. In short, they get me, so they are perfect and I am blessed. Please visit me at my website: www.amyabartol.com

And.... It keeps getting better. This series is so fantastic. I may have to be really careful though as everything I want to talk about is going to be spoilery, especially to you guys seeing this series for the first time, but I'm gunna try! I'm so in love with all these characters! I can't help but cheer when they have a victory or cry when they are heartbroken. And this one definitely ups the action scenes! High five to that!
This story gets a little complicated and I have a feeling that "team Reed" fans will be a little baffled, but since I kinda totally love Russell I was so glad to get to see into his mind a little bit. Don't get me wrong, I love Rees and his relationship with Evie, but it's a personal love for me with Russell. And then there's a new player on the field.... But again no spoilers and I can't say what I want to. I think I'll have to hold out just a little, but not to worry, Ms Amy plays it out beautifully and I think it'll all turn out good :)
I fanatically love Buns and Brownie!! And with more characters coming into play, I'm so glad they're on Evie's side! And let me just say with some bow-chicka-wow-wow and a seriously good ending, this one definitely didn't disappoint in the least!! I like when things get thrown in the air and it becomes unpredictable! And we even get a HEA... For now hahahaha! And then you gotta know it's only gunna get crazier cuz life goes on and I can't wait for my next adventure in Indebted!!
The writing is just so special. I've become such a huge fan of this author that short of killing of my favorite character- I won't say who- I will read EVERYTHING by Ms Amy. And I may have serious depression when this series finally ends... Which lets all hope it's not coming to the soon!! I have so many things running through my brain right now, but I can't ruin it for you guys, so I think when I post my reviews for books 3 & 4, I'll update this a bit. It's gunna come spilling out my mouth soon and I hate spoilers so I will leave you with my lovely 5 PAWS and say I cannot wait to inhale book 3!! If you aren't reading these books, you're just not cool! I'll peer pressure you and say... JUST READ THEM! EVERYONE WHO IS COOL IS!! Hahahaha :)

Love this story, I love this series, more than that, I love Amy A. Bartol. I fell in love after INESCAPABLE and now I can’t stop!
INTUITION, the 2nd book in THE PREMONITION series, sets right out where INESCAPABLE left our wonderful Evie; in the lovely arms of Reed. I started reading this right after finishing the first book, so for me it was great to run from one to the next and continue in the story. As always, I had my reservations regarding how this book would size up being a “mid-series” but Amy A. Bartol did not falter in her skills and gave us another heaping helping of action! Bartol dished out an impeccable amount of suspense with this book, keeping me constantly guessing AND on the edge of my seat, equaling one excellent read!
But, with all good, there must be some bad. I don’t really want to say “bad” rather things I could have done without:
First, alternating POVs particularly the POV of Russell, while for the most part I enjoy all of the characters in this series, I was a bit slower to connect to this portion of the book, and frankly I got a little frustrated. In the end I never gave up, I pushed through and I am super happy I did.
Second, the love-triangle-ish aspect (yes, pertaining to our fair Russell again, sorry) it’s not so much that there was a “triangle”, just too much Evie/Russell drama.
Lastly, the Gancanagh’s dialect; I totally get it and it is totally necessary to stay that close to a characters background. Though I’m not going to lie, I struggled a bit getting though some of the heavier conversations including them. This is due to the fact that I had to read slow and re-read, a lot.
None of these are deal breakers and in all honesty, I look past all of them and hate to mention them in fear that it will cause someone not to move forward and read the series. So, please take my word that it is worth any slight struggle with these things. I really just want to put them out there in all fairness of the review to keep my review true and honest!
INTUITION for me just generally evokes strong feelings of anger and frustration…haha, yes I do feel those, but not in a bad way, it really pulls a lot of emotion out of me. I love the writing of the plot and character development. It shows the true skills that Amy A. Bartol puts into these books. I love to find an author, especially an indie author, who truly grips me the way Bartol does. She created one of the most stand-out female characters for me in the YA Paranormal genre. Evie kicks some serious butt in this book and is still able to maintain her girly persona; she’s deep yet light and easy to connect with for readers of any age.
The plot(s) for this book where breathtaking! From the scenes with the Gancanagh to the scenes with the war council, Bartol was able to use her writing to build a vivid picture. In hopes of not spoiling too much, the war council to me was spectacular and I think it definitely ranks high in some of the most memorable reading moments for me. It took so much to intertwine new characters, a new setting and a conflict as flawlessly as Bartol did.
Now, on to book three, I tried to wait for it to come out via Nook but I couldn’t hold out any longer so I ordered my paperback version! Can’t wait for it to arrive!
