A brisk paced fantasy with a romance thrown in. Because the author throws the reader right into the action, it takes a while to assimilate what is going on. Lots of good elements with a flow that needs some work.

Prophecy Moon is a new world corset buster, a sci-fi-ish adventure with a romantic soul. The main character, Travis, is a flawed hero who finds himself in way above his head with a goal that seems impossible until he realizes his own power in the universe. His love interest is a soldier with more confidence, more everything than he has, with natural leadership traits as well as a truly gorgeous outward facade.
This story grabs you from the get-go and doesn't let up. The action moves the plot along fast and builds steam until the last quarter when everything moves like lightning – the closer I got to the end, the less I was able to put the book down.
I'd recommend it to anyone who loves to peek into other worlds; who enjoy the rapid heartbeat brought on by a passionate love affair; and who can't wait to find out what happens next.
Laura Eno is a rising star in the novel-writing business and I'm sure we'll be hearing plenty more from her in years to come.

This is a fine debut for a talented writer, maintaining a consistent pace and even tone. With no preamble, Eno throws us straight into the adventure. Prophecy Moon is an easy read, ticking the boxes of the fantasy check list. Travis is the brave hero who not only has to learn to use a myriad of magickal abilities, but he also has to learn how to love, which is arguably a harder challenge. Elessa is the feisty hunter who captures his heart, while a cast of strong characters fleshes out the plot with their neuroses, abilities and trickery. A story of secrets revealed and mysteries untangled, Propechy Moon grabs your attention and doesn't let go until well after the final showdown. All plot strands are woven together into a cracking adventure yarn that I thoroughly recommend.

Prophecy Moon is a fun fantasy. With the aid of a seer and a portal, the story sends us right into the meat of the problem and continues at a near constant pace. We don't see much of the initial location, but we learn about Travis's home during his adventure. Magic and creatures aren't the main feature. This story is about the people, their relationships, and their history. Except for a few awkward POV issues, the story reads smooth, maybe quick for some.
