Mar Yee Elisha, her husband Ahdum, and another young couple, Seeth Tuton and his wife Elive are chosen to man a flight on a new space craft. Their mission is to seek out any signs of intelligent life elsewhere in the universe.There is massive opposition to their trip on their homeworld and they just escape to an orbiting space station during a violent attack.
They set out on their mission and successfully reach out to where no one has been before.
During the early part of their mission they face sabotage to their craft, visits to alien worlds, sexual tensions within their ranks and finally the devestating news that they will never be able to return home.
They have no choice but to continue.
