About Joseph Williams

Joseph Williams, Ph.D., is known as a common sense thinker with the ability to see patterns in human behavior. He is distinctly qualified to write about these patterns through his education, successful careers in both business and academia, and a recent seven-year stint as a blue collar union member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (AFL-CIO Affiliated). As a respected author, his organizational behavior research received global attention when it was published in Management Research News, read by more than 15 million readers worldwide. Dr. Williams wrote Who Do You See in the Mirror? to make this important research available to the general public. He takes an accessible, inspiring look at ways to be part of a shift toward responsible behavior in the workplace, with the ultimate goal of giving people an opportunity to be part of a more positive global future. He developed the Human CABLE System - a concept to change irresponsible behavior into responsible behavior to enhance both personal well being and organizational success. Dr. Williams holds a B.S. degree in chemistry, a M.B.A. degree in Organizational Behavior, and a Ph.D. degree in Applied Management and Decision Science.

I found this book personally helpful in enabling me to cope better with workplace issues. It helped me to understand what previously used to be complex and stressfull work scenarios. As a result I feel on top of it all. The book pointed out that the most danger posed to humankind has always been from human behaviour. Hence the need for a more responsible approach. A great book.

I currently present a 15 day "Life Skills" seminar within a prison system. It centers on self-control, problem solving, tolerance of difference under the umbrella, "Life is about CHOICES" and looking at self. "Who Do You See in the Mirror?" focuses on looking at self which is a starting point for my clientele. This is an ideal resource for gaining control of their future. I will be using the material to assist me in improving my future instruction. Good Stuff

Who Do You See in the Mirror is set in a coffee shop. What better place to sit and sip and read this book! Dr. Williams, in a light, conversational manner, touches on some issues very important in today's crazy world. He identifies issues relating to the rudeness, bullying, lying, cheating we are exposed to every day by business executives, our political leaders and even some of our friends. He then introduces a system to reach down to the root cause of these irresponsible actions and change them into responsible actions. He has developed a unique but very practical and commonsense approach to rewiring bad behavior. Try it, you will like it. It applies to all of us, like it or not.
