Excellent read! Well worth re-reading to catch all the details in the story. This is the third E.R. Mason book I've read and am a fan of the author. I can't wait to read the rest in this series!

This is one of the author's earlier books and I am going to read the sequels to see how his writing and characters develops. Although the too main characters are described as antithetical to each other, I did not feel any reason for that.
Towards the end of the book, there is an extended section that becomes a discussion of comparative religions; I skimmed this part to get get back to the plot. In between, the plot, characters and action are interesting and progress as the plot complicates.
So, recommended, mostly to set up the following books that I expect to be better.

This author is really good. I've read all of E.R. Mason's books on smashwords and they are all excellent. This story has a unique and interesting story line. The characters are well created and are in two follow on books that are also excellent. Highly recommended.

Great story, quite the imaginative tale! The story only took place over a week or so (or thats how I read it) and the two main characters didn't seem to warm up to each other til the very end. I still really liked this book, and would recommend it highly. I also can't wait to read more from this author. Thanks for the free read!

I enjoyed reading most of this book, though a few parts were a bit violent for my taste. Interesting to see how beliefs and concepts blended with fantasy. Definitely a book worth reading.
