I love this book, and I don't say 'loved' because I'm still reading it. I'm more than half way through and it's doubtful that the writing is going to change, so I am very confident giving it five stars.
I often have good intentions of leaving a review for something I liked, but things happen by the time I finish and start a new book, and I neglect to let the author know how much I enjoyed reading his work. I did not want that to happen with Mr. Bullen's memoir.
I could relate to certain aspects of "Beset" such as the downturn in the economy and how it affected me personally, and couldn't agree more with Lee, regarding his perspective on how it got that way (his game show while cleaning the toilet). The humor used in the stories really keeps the situation light even if it is a situation not to be taken lightly.
It's always a breath of fresh air to find a great read that's free on this site, and I can't wait to check out the other works by Lee after this one.
Thanks very much for sharing your work.
