Short description

Kyan is the infamous Cat o' Nine, a spy, thief, and assassin for her vampire lover Nybaaz. But when Kyan's best friend dies because of her druidic powers, Kyan flees Nybaaz, intending to find a way to oust her inherent magic. With the help of a very unlikely shapeshifting ally, Kyan must use her nefarious skills to remove her powers and protect her newfound friends before Nybaaz catches up to her.

Kyan is the infamous Cat o' Nine, a spy, thief, and assassin for Nybaaz, the vampire kingpin of Gorkath. Her name is only spoken in hushed whispers in the alleys and streets, and her quarry never manages to escape. But when Kyan's best friend dies because of her druidic powers, Kyan is thrown into emotional turmoil and flees Nybaaz, intending to find a way to oust her inherent magic.

Nybaaz, however, is unwilling to give up his valuable lover--and her powers--that easily. With the help of a very unlikely shapeshifting ally, Kyan must use her nefarious skills to remove her powers and protect her newfound friends before Nybaaz catches up to her.

Fun little fantasy read. Set in a magic world feature cat people (known as Mau), were-creatures, wargs, vampires, elves, dwarves, undead, and orcs. The story follows Mau, a former assassin on the run from her former master. While running she accidentally makes a traveling stranger her familiar. Now they must hunt down a way to separate their accidental bond while dodging bounty hunters, were-creatures, undead knights, Orcs, and Vampires all trying to capture the former assassin.

Fun little read. The story seems a little awkward in the beginning, but smooths out and picks up quickly.
