Absolutely wonderful! I really enjoyed the relationship between Jack and Jonathan. The story is well- plotted and fast-paced. Jack is as witty as ever. I look forward to Ms. Elrod's next work of creativity and imagination.

Not since my days as a poor young airman in the USAF, I went to a store and found a book called "Bloodlist" by P.N. Elrod, and fell in love with all the characters, the whole scene, have I found such creative heaven!
Now through all the many books in the series and the Barrett series we get yet another chance for the 2 to meet, and it is awesome. I cannot spoil the plot, but the adventure Jack and Johnathon go through is a roller-coaster of fun, fear, and action of epic proportions. Even some sadness as it unfolds. P.N. Elrod is the queen of this world, she owns it and her writing is like a cold drink of water in a desert of terrible novels in the world.
My only negative feeling is its over and I have no more to consume. I want more, I would love to see further meeting between Jack, and Johnathon, I want more educating between the 2 to each other, and more adventure.

Immensely Entertaining! If you are a fan of detective novels set in the 1930s, or a fan of vampire novels, or a fan of just plain good, entertaining writing, READ THIS! Elrod sets the protagonists of two series into the same work and the clash of characters works great. Elrod has a knack for creating characters so real you can see them, even smell them, and this little book is a prime example.
The genre could be described as a murder mystery or a crime novel, except that the detective and another main character are vampires. The setting and language are classic while the plot keeps you guessing.

If you are already a P. N. E;rod fan, you will love seeing Jonathan Barrett and Jack Fleming in cahoots. If you are not already an Elrod fan, you will be after reading this gem.
